Bcu Kayak Awards

An introductory
course run over two days which includes a journey. A basic assessment of understanding throughout the two days at the end of an . The course itself should encourage
safe practice, regard for the equipment and open the doors to a wider world
£100.00 per person.

A Three day course that covers the basic flat water skills in kayaks and open canoes.
The emphasis is centered on creating the desired movement
of the boat by developing understanding on cause and effect
rather than concentrating on rigidly defined strokes. 2 Star
level is a requirement to attending course for the qualification
of level one coach so safety and rescue are key parts to this course. Two journeys is a requierment to gaining a Two star award.
£150.00 per person.

Sea, Surf, Inland
At three star level candidates
can consider themselves as intermediate paddlers rather than
beginners. 3 Stars are now disapline specific so a seperate assesment is needed for Sea, Surf or Inland.
3 star is a requirement to attending a course
for the qualification of level two coach.
Training for the above can be given in a group or individual basis.
A one day 3 star assesment
£80.00 per person.
Foundation Safety and Rescue Training.
This award has two purposes, firstly to provide a paddler
with the necessary safety awareness which will enable to ensure
the safety of themselves and others and secondly to provide
a paddler with rescue skills which can be used to help themselves
or others in difficulty.
This course is run over one day
.This certificate is a requirement to attending coach
qualification courses.
£80.00 per person.

Waterborne Birthdays and Events
For the younger folk we normally run an hour and a half session
on the water with fun and games being the main emphasis and
cater for six to eight.
The starting price is £70 but if you
wish extras such as cake more balloons, party bags etc the
price will increase accordingly.
For adults maybe it’s a speciality Waterborne picnic
created by our local deli to your requirements (Champagne
and strawberries or lobster maybe)
